Every time I see a new book/guide on game I cringe. Everybody and their grandmother published an e-book on pickup that’s how saturated this market is. Charlatans out there claiming they reverse engineered attraction, developed a bulletproof supersonic seduction technique, discovered a powerful new secret that will make you irresistible to women. Such a load of crap. The saddest thing is people buy that, literally and figuratively. Same holds true for the fitness industry today.
Here is free advice: when in doubt stick with the fundamentals.
90% OF THE GAME IS PLAIN OLD FUNDAMENTALS
What is the foundation of the game, it’s underlying principle? It is:
THE MORE YOU APPROACH THE MORE YOU GET LAID
That’s the foundation. What’s the most basic version of approaching? You come up to the girl you’re interested in and say “Hello”, chat for a bit if she is open to it, exchange contact info and take it from there. That’s as stripped down and basic as it gets. It’s the bread and butter of game.
Yeah you can strap a dildo to your forehead or howl at the top of your lungs at a bar if it strikes your fancy. But if you don’t give a shit about being flashy just stick with the fundamentals and you will get results. This is not to say you should be a robot and just go through the motions. But the dumbest most primitive approach is better than no approach. If you don’t do anything else but stick with fundamentals you will get results.
If you have half a brain you’re going to learn from your basic approaches and tweak them to what works for you. Take weight lifting for instance, some people feel more comfortable deadlifting with a trap bar instead of a barbell. Some prefer low bar squats to high bar squats. However, no matter how you choose to do it you still have to lift that weight. Same with game no matter how you do it you still have to approach.
There is proper form for doing a deadlift for example. However, within that proper form there is still a range within which variation is acceptable. Some people want to plant their feet wider some prefer narrower stance, some would point their feet out others close to parallel, some tend to grip the barbell over hand others prefer a mixed grip. They are all proper form but tweaked to each persons individual preferences because we are all different, we have different bodies. As a taller guy my lifting mechanics are not going to be identical to shorter guy’s lifting mechanics. It’s just common sense.
Same goes for approaches, you can open with simple “hello” or with a question or with a compliment etc. Neither one is superior to the other they are all valid approaches but a simple “Hi” may work best for your personality while someone else has better success with compliment openers.
Sticking with the fundamentals is great for strength training. I don’t care who you are, what’s your background but if you’re an able bodied male and you limited your workout to only Squat, Deadlift and Bench Press for the next year you’d get strong. You will get stronger than most people you know. Just those three exercises performed with proper form following some basic program (say 3 times a week, 1 working set of 5 heavy reps for each exercise) will make you stronger. It will also make you bigger if you couple that routine with a sensible diet. No bicep curls, no barbell shrugs, no crossfit, no nonsense. Simply stick with the fundamentals.
Same with game. You go out there for 3 hours, 3 days a week and approach 10 women per day/night you’re going to get laid. I’m not saying you’re going to lay supermodels. Just like I do not say you will become the strongest man on the planet doing the three main lifts (although both scenarios are not implausible). Nevertheless, you will get well above average. There is no doubt about it.
Problem is sticking with fundamentals is hard. It’s hard work. Fundamentals also tend to be simple and people are suspicious and dismissive of simplicity. If it’s not complicated it can’t possibly be effective. If it’s not explained step by step in a 30 page e-book it must not be worth our attention.
People think if they charge money for the product it must be good. Don’t be a sucker, most of what you need to know about game is available for free. Most of what you need to know about becoming stronger is available for free.
The only thing left is action.
Nothing can substitute going out and approaching.
Nothing can substitute lifting that heavy ass barbell off the floor.
No e-book, no website, no YouTube video will do the work for you.
Stick with the fundamentals, take action and you will get results.
